Funny Card

Please forgive me I do not recall where I found the digital stamp that is featured on the front. The Cut on the inside is from the Cricut cart Sweethearts. The sentiment was picked up some where on the web.

Used Dryer Sheet ???

My friends and I otherwise known as B*itch Craft get together about once a month to trade ideas and techniques that we have seen on line. Last week we crafted with Used Dyer sheets in card making. I am not sure on what blog or web site this originated on, But none the less it works. It is very helpful if you have the bigger 5 inch Xyron machine and dark colored inks as well as larger stamped images. The process goes something like this. On my card I used a larger butterfly stamp with various dark colored ink. I stamped onto white card stock and then cut to fit. I ran my card front through the Xyron image face down so that the sticky stuff was on the front of my card. I then took the dyer sheet ( that still smelled) and stretch and adhered that to the card front. Either cut to fit or wrap it around to the back and tape. I prefer the wrap method as it cuts down on the little frayey things. The dryer sheet gives the card a nice soft finish and a gauzey look. Viola.

365 Cards Challenge Day 336

The challenge was to work with the provided sketch. Nice and simple no cricut cuts here. I used some things from my stash. I forget where I learned to make the "flower" embellishment. It was a 1 inch by 12 inch strip scored every eighth inch and fan folded. I learned the hard way a while back these flowers are impossible without glue dots.

Challenge Mojo Monday

I used DCWV Nanas Nursery Mat Stack. I cut the P.J. from the Everyday Paper Dolls are 1.71 inches, the Carriage was from designers Calendar It was a shift lock events setting and that was cut from 2 different papers and layered. The cut was at 1.71

And the circle was cut from the Creat a Critter Shift Lock shadow setting cut at 2.71 and 2.47

and judging by the sizes I give you can tell I used my Gypsy.

I used pop dots on the carriage and on the P.J.s

The little brads were the perfect touch to create the Faux cloths line using embroidery thread.

The sentiment was done with a stamp, versamark and Rangers Perfect Pearls.

I used a yellow and a green to ink the edge of the card. The bow was created with ribbon and embellished with a little jewel

1st Birthday card

Finally had some time to create over the weekend. Between the ceiling fan and window it was tolerable to sit and be crafty. On Saturday I went to a crop with a couple of friends and worked on a friends Wedding Album. Mind you said friend now has a one year old baby. None the less here wedding album is coming along. I need to get her permission before I post any of my scrap pages.

On Sunday I was able to create a 1st Birthday card for my nephew Ethan. Nothing like the last minute the party was in a matter of hours. Anyway I used the Celebrations Cricut cart and cut the items at 4 inches which in hind sight I caution you to cut at maybe 2.5 or 3 inches as the 4 inch cut caused my card to be 7.5 by 5.75 and as such not a standard size A2 card. I used pop dots and some ribbon I had kicking around. I also caution you that when buying pop dot to just go with the bigger ones they are easier to peel the backing off.

Because of the odd size of the card and the time crunch. I simply made a "folder" for it and used the blue ribbon to "wrap" it.
