Summer Scrap book page

The page features the new Creative Memories cutting system. There is a learning curve to learning to use this tool however, it works well in a pinch when your cricut is not handy. Trimmed and matted my photos and embellished with Viva Decor Gel Pens

Summer Scrap book page

A couple of simple pages featuring some great nature shots taken at the lake house. Backgrounds were pre printed. Sentiments and letter tags were items I have had in my stash.

A card

You know I really have to get better at keeping "recipes" or posting my projects while I still remember how I did them.

This was a card I did for Monique.

I used the creative memories Oval cutter and paper tape. The word on the front came from the cricut cart I think Geographically Speaking but don't hold me to that.

I used Vellum paper through the laser printer for the sentiment.

Summer Scrap book page

A 2 page spread featuring the title done with Thickers letters. I have got a ton of mileage from these. Sometimes having to alter the letter to make a new letter. I used the creative memories tearing tool to use 1 sheet of 12 x 12 printed paper over the 2 pages and still have a good size chunk left over. Embellishments with viva decor pen and some stickers from my stash. Rounded some corners and used the Creative Memories oval cutter on the one photo and matted it in red.

Summer Scrap book page

An easy page to put together. I found a poem years ago in the local paper written by Jack Torres and I immediately thought about how I could use this on a campfire page. It just goes to show that inspiration can come from the strangest places. I featured only clips from the poem on the page. I used a Journaling template I had in my stash. Enhanced it with bic fine tip markers and viva decor on the corners. The moon in the upper right was pre printed on the page ( don't remember the page company) and I enhanced the moon with some iridescent glitter glue. All and all I am pleased with the way it came together.

I featured my Niece Emma's homework assignment about what you did this summer. Her story is complete with misspellings and in her hand writing. A true treasure for sure. Used some stickers I had and embellished with a viva Decor pen. It just goes to show that Journaling on a scrap page can come in many forms.

I used the creative memories trimmer to get the wavy border, CM corner rounder, And large circle cutter.

Summer Scrap book page

I did this page last weekend at my scrap retreat in Hyannis MA. I used the Creative Memories clip it tool to line up with photos to get the gutters between all the pictures the same. The layout features Creative Memories Primary Summer Additions. I used the Megan Gravner method of cutting and pasting the base 12 x 12 layout. It gets you a ton more Mileage from a sheet of paper. The sticker comes in the Additions kit. The button and thread were just item in my mixed bag tote ( who knows whats in there and how it gets there). I thought the white background was a little dull, so I used a small Pumpkin Ink pad from stamping at. I purchased a set of 12 small ink pads at a "yard sale" held at the crop for about $4.00, (most of them had not even been opened) Anyway I just randomly brushed the Ink on the page before glued down the yellow mat. Of course I finished the page with the Blue Viva Decor paper pen that came in the Sept Kit. As a side line I love these pens so much I ordered 5 more from Customcrops.com and they came in the mail today. Woot.

Summer Scrap book page

I used an older Creative Memories paper kit that I had. The tile came from the Thickers that were in one of the kits from Club Ruby. ( I had no O or i so I modified some other letters) I am surprised at how much use I was able to get from these lettes. I used some spare buttons I had around and some embroidery threads. I cut a slit in the paper and slid the photo in for an interesting modification. To make the paper stretch a little further I used Megan's Gravener'from Above Ruby Studios Technique of cutting and Pasting to get a 12 x 12 size. The paper was double sided so by doing this it gave me plenty of paper to use for matting my photos.

The best weekend

This past weekend was my annual okay semi annual crop retreat. I was hugely productive and could not be happier with what I accomplished. ( I will post Pictures tomorrow after I finish unpacking ) Let me just say that I could not wait to come home so I could order some more Viva Decor Pens in every possible color. This Past weekend was the 1st time I have had a chance to really play /use them.... AWESOME!!!! thanks so much to club ruby for turning me onto those !!!! On the down side, and maybe because I was not real sure what I was doing, I was much less impressed with the pearl powders. I went on line and found the recipe to mix them into a misting spray. Perhaps I did it wrong, however I was not impressed. I would love to know exactly what these are suppose to do / look like... Anyway the other thing I was turned onto this past weekend was the 1.5 inch xyron label maker, no wonder I hated using my circut to cut small shapes, because they were impossible to glue down without making a mess. This little machine is a must have for dealing with those little circut pieces. Still befuddled how this little wonder has escaped my attention all this time. I also think I want a Cricut create as it was a huge PITA ( pain in the ass) and made me nervous to travel with my cricut Expression. Anyway enough about that. I had absolute ball and tons of Laughs.

Wedding Album

Boy Birthday

Birthday card

My niece is accident prone and earned the nick name Crash. Well with the coming of age of her little sister, the older decided that the younger needed to be crash and she wanted to be Princess Dolphin. Thus this Birthday card. She loved it. Still on display in her room.

Vacation Mini Album

I friend of mine was kind enough to plan a vacation for 26 women. This was a small thank you mini album I did for her. I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of the front cover. I was very pleased with the way it came out. The album was an 8 x 8 that I picked up for a couple of bucks on Clearance at AC Moore. I thought they were a score deal and so bought about 6 of them not really sure what I was going to use them for. ( as is half the stuff in my house) But it sure came in handy when I was suddenly inspired.
