Challenges MelJen Designs and Daring card makers

The image come from http://www.freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/ my apologies to the artist as I do not recall specifically what site. The paper of course is from DCWV.
Funny story.... I was shopping at JoAnn's over the weekend and the paper by the sheet that is usually 59c or 69c was on sale for 5 sheets for 95c. I bought a couple sheets of the coordination paper that has the colored core for sanding, tearing and embossing. Can't wait to play with that. But the funny part is out of the 11 sheets of printed paper I picked out turned out to be DCWV when the turned them over to ring me out. I guess I know what I like and am faithful to DCWV without even trying.

this card is entered at http://www.daringcardmakers.blogspot.com where the challenge was Spring or Easter inspired cards.

and also at http://www.meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.com where the challenge was 3 colors, 2 patterned paper and 1 bow.

enjoy

The challenge at http://scrapbookitblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/mels-aprilmay-sketch-and-card-challenge.html was to use the sketch provided. Because my page was a boy page I could not bring myself to use the swirls, so I replaced them with stars. I love the way it came out. So may papers took a long time to coordinate. But it was worth it.

Polly craft challenge blog #88

the challenge at http://www.pollycraftchallengeblog.blogspot.com/ was anything to do with Easter. Club Ruby Designers Challenge CRD004 Belli Blog Challenge #115

The challenge was to follow the sketch provided. I did just that and cut the middle out and use a digi stamp from http://freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/ although I do no recall what the exact site was. I just loved this image because is this not how we all feel after a good meal.

This card is also entered over at http://www.bellichallenge.blogspot.com where the theme was bunnies / Easter. I dug deep into my paper stash and the plaid paper comes from a very old Creative Memories paper pack. Not sure what I was saving it for. So project at some point inspired me to by this paper and then the project was quickly forgotten. I also have been so side tracked with digi stamps that I have not had ink on my fingers in some time so I decided to drag out the ink pads and use a variety to ink the edge of my card where the paper was not quite large enough.

Challenge Mojo Monday 186

The challenge was to use the sketch provide. I am very please with the way this card came out. I have found myself getting sucked into the world of digi stamps. This sentiment came from http://www.freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/. I apologize that I do not recall exactly what site. I promise to be more diligent in the future. The gift is a rubber stamp from my stash.

General Updates

So all the hard work to get ready for the mission market proved a little less profitable that I had hoped. I have plenty of left overs for the next fundraiser. My next fundraiser will be sometime in May for the American Cancer Society's relay for life. While Rebbecca was home dog /house sitting getting ready for the missions market I was off on a Creative Memories scrap retreat. I was not as productive as I had hoped do to the fact that there was not a lot of space to spread out. On the upside the venue was awesome and the food spectacular.

Emma Rocks !

In putting this poster for the Fund raiser this weekend, Emma cut my time in half. I fast as the Circut was cutting out the letter Em was gluing them together and then on the board. We were done in no time. I used a Pack pack from K & Company that I was not especially fond of but The bold prints worked excellent for this application.
I give Emma and I an A+

The only thing I have left to do is List the items that are going to be for sale under the word Menu. I plan on doing it in the Laser printer on standard paper and use removable adhesive. Therefore enabling me to to use it year after year. I will sure and let you know how well we do.
