I miss my Blog

It has been a busy summer and while I have done a couple of project I just can't seem to find the time to get them posted. Well summer is quickly coming to an end and I will be going into Hibernation before you know it. I have a 4 day crop retreat coming up so that surly will spawn some posts. Hang in there we me I'll be coming back stronger than ever.

I will be going to a crop tomorrow. 8 hours of of sticky fingers and playing with paper. I am so excited I can hardly control myself. Looks for some new projects/posts next week. I can assure you at least one post for Fathers day. How how I have missed my play time.... This work thing is just no fun. I need to hit the lottery so I can play all day and not worry about what I spend on paper. I was "organizing" my "playroom" last night and it is borderline embarrassing how much paper I have, but I just can seem to stop.... I think I may have a problem.

I miss my play room and my sticky fingers............ I need to craft !!!!! but camping with family for the weekend. Back to work on Tues so I can "rest" and maybe some crafting. One can hope.

I used the Birthday cuttlebug folder for the base on this A2 size card. the letters fro birthday were cut with Jubilee. The border at the bottom come from of course DCWV.

Digital Tuesday Challenge # 109

The challenge was to create anything but be sure to use something Digital and ribbon and lace.

I used my gypsy to weld 3 tags together into a tri fold card. I used various ribbons at the top. and lace at the bottom. The lace was white and to make it match I rubbed a blue ink pad across it and than ran it through my Xyron to make it easier to work with. The flower on the front is a digital image ( pardon me I do not recall the artist) I used colored pencils and flocked the center. The images on the inside was a new technique that I learned last weekend at CK convention in Manchester NH. At the P.K. Glitz booth. The image is printed on acetate and then using special super clear clue that will also stick to the acetate you glue the back side of the image and sprinkle with super fine glitter. The glitter is is on the back side and that keeps it from being to messy for the received.

The card base was done with the cuttlebug folder and the the side was was also done with cuttlebug and enhanced with ink and then embellished with viva decor and stickels. The image of course is from cricut and highlighted with a silver pen. A simple card that could be for get well or congrads on a baby / bridal shower.

The kit was Halloween themed but this seems to fit perfectly. Some distressing, some sanding, some crinkeling and some ink highlight I feel vintage was acheived.

Funny story.... I was shopping at JoAnn's over the weekend and the paper by the sheet that is usually 59c or 69c was on sale for 5 sheets for 95c. I bought a couple sheets of the coordination paper that has the colored core for sanding, tearing and embossing. Can't wait to play with that. But the funny part is out of the 11 sheets of printed paper I picked out turned out to be DCWV when the turned them over to ring me out. I guess I know what I like and am faithful to DCWV without even trying.

Club Ruby Designers Challenge CRD004 Belli Blog Challenge #115

The challenge was to follow the sketch provided. I did just that and cut the middle out and use a digi stamp from http://freedigitalstamps.blogspot.com/ although I do no recall what the exact site was. I just loved this image because is this not how we all feel after a good meal.

I dug deep into my paper stash and the plaid paper comes from a very old Creative Memories paper pack. Not sure what I was saving it for. So project at some point inspired me to by this paper and then the project was quickly forgotten. I also have been so side tracked with digi stamps that I have not had ink on my fingers in some time so I decided to drag out the ink pads and use a variety to ink the edge of my card where the paper was not quite large enough.
